Akira's Story
Our tea-making journey began in the early Showa era. In 2007, we changed our name from Miyazaki Seicha to Miyazaki Sabo, marking a new chapter while staying true to our roots.
Our commitment to pesticide-free tea cultivation dates back to 1983, when we first began growing tea without the use of agricultural chemicals. Since then, we have continued to cultivate our fields using only organic fertilizers, trusting in the natural strength of the land and the tea plants themselves. In 2001, our efforts were officially recognized with JAS Organic certification.
In 2002, we were deeply honored to receive the Emperor’s Cup at the National Agriculture Festival, in recognition of our approach to tea cultivation and quality.
Guided by our belief in creating “tea that gives you energy when you drink it,” we will continue to produce safe, honest teas that respect both people and nature.
We aim to create tea that revitalizes the body and spirit. Rather than relying on pesticides, we place our trust in the power of the soil and the natural balance of the environment, cultivating tea in harmony with the land.
