Presenting WTEA at the Business Creation Contest 2025 Final
We presented the WTEA business at the final round of the Business Creation Contest 2025, held during the Final Judging & Award Ceremony.
The event was organized by the Shinagawa Business Club, co-hosted by Shinagawa City, and supported by the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. The final presentations took place at Osaki Bright Core Hall, where selected startups introduced their business ideas and initiatives to a panel of judges and attendees.
At the event, we presented WTEA, a direct trade platform designed to connect small and medium-sized Japanese tea producers directly with international buyers. Through this initiative, we aim to address one of the major challenges facing the tea industry today: limited access to global markets for independent producers.
In the general category, 251 applications were submitted, from which only eight projects advanced to the final stage. The judging evaluated each project based on criteria including innovation, feasibility, and market potential.
Following the final presentations, our project was honored with the Encouragement Award, recognizing the potential impact of WTEA in creating new global opportunities for Japanese tea producers.
Participating in this event reaffirmed our commitment to building an international ecosystem where tea producers and buyers can connect directly, fostering a more sustainable and transparent future for the Japanese tea industry.
